The Hindustani Vocal Course is a 1-year diploma program focused on Indian classical vocal training. You’ll learn voice culture, raag-based singing, taal understanding, semi-classical forms, and performance techniques. It blends traditional guru-shishya methods with modern studio exposure.
2. Do I need any prior experience in classical singing to join?
No. This Hindustani vocal diploma course in India is beginner-friendly. Whether you’re self-taught, a devotional singer, or starting from scratch, the course builds your foundation step by step—from swar sadhana to raag development.
3. What ragas and taals will I learn in this course?
You will study popular Hindustani ragas like Yaman, Bhairav, Bageshree, Desh, Malhar, Kafi, Khamaj, and more. In rhythm (taal), you’ll train in Teentaal, Dadra, Keharwa, Rupak, and Jhaptaal, along with laykari and tempo control.
4. Is this a certified Hindustani classical music course?
Yes. On completion, you will receive a Diploma in Hindustani Classical Vocal Music, issued by University. The certification validates your classical music training and can be used for teaching, auditions, or academic progression.
5. How often are the classes held?
Classes are held 4 to 5 times a week, including individual riyaz guidance, group training, and live practice. We also conduct recitals and performance evaluations monthly.
6. Will I get to perform on stage or record in a studio?
Absolutely. The course includes regular recital opportunities, both solo and group. You will also get access to our recording studio to record raag-based demos and semi-classical compositions as part of your portfolio.
